Day 14 Eats!

We are in full swing school, work and life over here. How bout you?

Today we started our day in the word, learning about how to know what the truth is in various circumstances and the only true place we can find the truth, the bible. It was cool to see the kids really understand what they were learning and we got into a long discussion about this and more. It was yet another reason I love being home with them, to be able to explore these truths and dig deeply into them alongside my kids.

After bible time we had some eggs and sausage with a side of frozen blueberries. My kids favorite snack right now is frozen blueberries and I have to admit, they really are good. Sort of like nature’s dippin’ dots. Oh yeah…

We were so full from breakfast that lunch wasn’t until about 2pm. We finished off my spaghetti chili leftovers and then we each had a banana. Well…. except for  Levi. Yesterday Levi took a few bites out of his apple and then decided he didn’t want to finish it. As a result of this wastefulness, he was banned from apples, bananas, and oranges today. Maybe for your 2 year old this wouldn’t be that big of a deal but for Levi, this is heartbreaking. I have a feeling he’s going to finish off his apple tomorrow.

We had taekwondo tonight for Jeremiah and Shiloh and decided to eat afterwards since we were still full from lunch by 5, when we had to leave. When we got home I quickly threw together my most ultimate comfort paleo food, chicken curry. I haven’t made this in months and man have I missed it. I am seriously looking forward to tomorrow, just so I can eat more!

We are eating 100% paleo eating. We are learning more about the Lord. We are exercising in different ways. We are treating our bodies as the temples they are. We are giving the glory to God.

And we’re doing it all as a whole family…..

  1. I absolutely love your blog — These posts are such an encouragement, and I love reading them throughout my workday. :) It’s such a blessing for me to learn about using everything in family to honor the Lord – food, time, exercise (Even though I am young and not married) – but I’m praying for something like this one day with my husband and kiddos! God bless!
