D.A.D. Fundraising Excitement!

We were so excited when a friend called to tell us we made it in the paper! Thank you to the Times-Picayune for putting us on the front page and sharing our story. Y’all are the best!

(If you have no idea what I’m talking about check out how we are working towards getting Jeremiah a diabetic alert dog here.)

More exciting news! Thanks to council-woman Wendy Bennedetto we met with council members and the public relations administrator for St. Charles parish today about our fundraising efforts. They were so supportive and invited us to come speak at their upcoming city council meeting!

Jeremiah did a fantastic job of speaking clearly and respectfully and got his points across wonderfully. To top all of that he’s cute too! We were even invited to take a tour of the new animal shelter in St. Charles Parish and talk to the personnel there about our d.a.d. The facility was great… the people were even better.

I really think the best part of all of this fundraising is the amazing people that have been the most amazing blessings to me and my family. In the midst of being overwhelmed daily I am also daily blown away, inspired, encouraged, and being made grateful for the many, many people who have come up alongside me and shared my dream of helping my son. I am so blessed. We are so blessed.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Speaking of wonderful people helping us, next week Wendy Bennedetto invited us to come to her annual golf tournament and sell tickets to our benefit night. How fun and great is that?! My little pro-golfer is sooo excited.

There are so many wonderful things going on, all I can say is “Wow God”.

Thank you for walking this journey with us.

  1. Jacque, This is so cool. And Jeremiah is so cute! Just wanted to let you know that Jake is in NOLA tonight. He has a the rookie mini camp tomorrow through Saturday, from early morning to late at night. Please pray for him. He asked for prayers, and said this is going to be the hardest thing he’s ever done. The camp is a proving ground and there is a chance if he doesn’t do well, that he could be cut. I appreciate your prayers! He also said that he’d like to come to the event in June, as long as he is able to…I’ll let you know.
