We’re on the last stretch guys! How’s everyone doing? I am feeling strong, looking stronger, my endurance is up, and I although I still don’t love burpees, I’m liking the results they bring.
Major congrats to everyone that has kept up with the BP Challenge consistently these past 22 days. Only 8 days left!!! So what will we do these last 8 days? We’re kicking it up a notch, of course! After all….. IT’S A CHALLENGE, RIGHT?! Bring it.
Here’s the scoop:
Burpees: Continue with the full burpees you’ve been doing. Your legs should be thrusting back and hopping forward before and after your FULL push up. When you stand you should be jumping with your hands up and feet coming off the floor. For these last 8 days try to do your burpees with less of a break in between. For instance, if you’ve been doing 10 at a time with a break in between like I have, try doing 20/20/10 or 25/25. You can do this! Check out these burpees. No sweat!
Front Planks: By now your planks are probably easy as pie. There are many variations to planks and this crazy guy shows us 20 intense ones. For the next 8 days, pick a plank from these 20. Mix and match and challenge yourself (remember, it is a challenge) to do these crazy planks. What a difference these are going to make on your abs. Believe me, you will ROCK these.
Side Planks: There are 2 variations you can do with side planks. If you have a TRX I would highly recommend using it for these as that will bring your workout up a huge notch. Continue to work on alternating side plank dips one day on both sides and side planks with a twist on both sides every other day. These are both great, not extremely difficult and will make a world of difference.
Hip Lifts: If the BP Challenge is your only workout for the day and you want to make sure to cover your whole body add in 50 hip lifts. This video shows the hip lifts we have been doing with 2 advancements. For these last 8 days lets do our hip lifts with one leg raised, making it much harder on the working leg, for 25 on each leg. You CAN do this!
Only 8 days left of our Whole Family BP Challenge! Yes it’s hard, yes it’s challenging, but you CAN do it. This is what a challenge is all about. We are challenging ourselves and we are living up to that challenge. And we are ROCKING it.
Keep up the great work BPer’s!
