As we start our 4th Whole30 today I am excited to announce that our “Whole Family” will be eating our way through Eat Like a Dinosaur by The Paleo Parents! Matt and Stacy sent me a book a couple of weeks ago but with our fundraising efforts for Jeremiah’s D.A.D. I haven’t made the time to cook from it. That changes this week! I am so excited to make these delicious meals and share them with friends and family. My review will be coming this weekend! What a week it will be…. Continue reading
Congrats to everyone that has made it through the first week of our Whole Family 30 Day BP Challenge! Time to kick it up. After all, it is a challenge! Here are some small changes we will be implementing this week that will make our workout even better, our muscles even stronger, and our challenge even more challenging. As we say at our house, BRING IT!
On our last Whole30 I planned ahead each week with a meal plan. Making a meal plan made my life so much easier and 10x’s more organized. Of course, there were times where we deviated from the plan or we were lucky enough to have enough leftovers that meals got pushed back but overall my meal plans were a lifesaver.
If you’re in need of some meal planning, not sure where to start, or are like me and like to browse how other people plan, check these out.
I hope they serve you as much as they served me.

Day 1 of our Whole Family BP Challenge is in the bag! It’s been a busy day that started at 4:30 with a great CF WOD and ended with 50 burpees, 3 one minute planks, and 50 elevated hip lifts done with the hubs…in our pajamas! Hey, we got them in and had fun doing it. Bring on Day 2!
Here’s a little, sometimes funny, inspiration for you guys….. Continue reading
For those of you adding in hip lifts to your BP Challenge here‘s an instructional video you should check out.
I’m pretty sure these are a little too easy for you guys though so I HIGHLY recommend putting the heels of your feet on a chair and doing your hip lifts with your feet elevated.
If that’s still too easy hold a weight (or your toddler) on your stomach as you work.
If you are a glutton for punishment move on to putting your feet on a medicine ball.
After your BP’s and 50 of these you will have worked your entire body without stepping foot into a gym.
Welcome to our Whole Family 30-Day BP (burpees and planks) Challenge!

Join us for 30 days of getting stronger, building endurance, and having a whole lot of fun! You won’t want to miss it.

My whole “grand” family completed their whole30 and did wonderfully.
Every day my mom came up with new, delicious whole30 approved meals and had a ball doing it.
Here is her much anticipated recipe for Bacon Wrapped Apple Chicken.
Jeremiah and I have really enjoyed making coasters together to give as gifts.
We are now selling our coasters as part of our D.A.D. fundraising efforts!
Here is a sample of the coasters we are offering.
We also have script and music coasters (the image behind the fleur de lis). The script and music are both not legible, they just look really pretty.
If you are ordering a fleur de lis coaster please specify which design you would like. We have every initial available as well.
Our coasters sell as a set of 4 for $15 + $5 shipping if applicable.
To place your order please fill out the form below. If you are local we can arrange payment at delivery. If not I will email you a bill from paypal.
We will then custom make your order, contact you with any additional questions or information, and ship it or deliver it to you within 5 days.

“A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.” Proverbs 25:28
I did a bible study with a group of friends a couple years ago. It was a great study called Respectable Sins. I learned how some of the “nothings” in my life that I didn’t think were anything at all were actually big “somethings”. It helped me re-examine these “nothings” and place them in the category of “somethings”…where they can be addressed and worked on. Like frustration, unthankfulness, discontentment, pride, selfishness, impatience, irritability, judgementalism, envy, jealousy, and self-control. Small, sometimes unnoticeable things that are in fact big things.
Well, it seems God needed me to look at these things again. Coincidentally, a new bible study I am in is doing this book…again. Haha God, I get the point. Last week we went over the chapter on self-control and I saw it, yet again, in a new light. Obviously self-control is relevant in every single area of my life, but I recently looked at self-control in terms of my health. Continue reading
