Day 24 was full of oldies and goodies……..
Breakfast was chorizo and egg (the oldie) along with sweet potato cinnamon hashies (the goodie).
Jeremiah actually took this picture of his chorizo and eggs and was so proud of it that he begged me to put it in. I told him of course.
The hashies were so good they didn’t even make it to the kid’s plates. They just kept coming up to the serving plate over and over and stealing them. Apparently they liked them!
……….
As a fast afternoon snack the kids all had a handful of macadamias. We learned at the Whole9 conference that macadamias are one of the best nuts to eat so when the kids are in need of a munchie, this is the new nut we turn to. And they love them!
……….
Lunch was a simple compilation of sliced chorizo sausage with fried sweet potato slivers. Hit the spot, for sure.
……….
Dinner was a rush of leftovers. Thankfully, we had some GREAT leftovers ready for us. We ran home from piano practice with only 30 minutes to be home before we had to rush off to basketball practice. So glad we had some good carne asada to pop in the microwave and then in our hungry bellies. Worked out perfectly and was just as good as the first day. Can’t wait to have some again.
……….
We had another SIMPLE day over here. I love the SIMPLE days and I am glad we have so many of them. SIMPLE is always better. Gives you time to enjoy what you have. Hope you are enjoying what you have…
